Letter From The Founder
From my experience as a ball boy at the US Open to traveling across the country for tennis tournaments, I've always felt a deep connection to the sport. Tennis has been more than just a game to me; it has been a source of inspiration, discipline, and even community. As I've moved from court to court, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible energy of the sport, but I've also noticed a significant amount of waste—specifically, the countless tennis balls discarded after just a few matches. This realization inspired me to create Bounce Back, a non-profit organization dedicated to giving used tennis balls a second life.
In my travels, I've seen how something as simple as a tennis ball can bring people together, whether it's on a school playground, in a community center, or at a local dog park. I began to think about all the possible ways these balls could be repurposed to bring joy, creativity, and sustainability into the lives of others. This led me to launch Bounce Back, an initiative focused on collecting, repressurizing, and donating used tennis balls to schools, dog shelters, and artists, turning what would have been waste into a resource for communities in need.
I believe that every tennis ball has the power to make a difference. It can bring a smile to a child's face in a PE class, provide hours of fun for a dog in a shelter, or inspire an artist to create something new. Our mission at Bounce Back is to use this potential, reduce waste, and promote a culture of reuse and giving back.
Join us as we make a difference, one tennis ball at a time.
